I am very grateful to have been born and brought up in Canada, where so much of this is illegal and monitored. This is scary information and the reason why I try my best to make healthy choices with food. How can you know this and continue to supply low-quality and unsafe food to a population? How can you unlearn it or ignore it?
Robyn O’Brien at TEDxAustin on food safety and use of chemicals in the US food supply, its business model, and the disastrous results of letting it continue. She is passionate and positive and believes in change. This matters.

Culinary experiment #2: The Safe Salad
Spinach and quinoa salad with cucumbers, onions, chives and beautiful little chive flowers.

I made this avocado quinoa salad with dried apricots, dried blueberries and raisins, roasted almonds, sunflower seeds and a cumin-paprika vinaigrette. So easy. And it’s delicious.
